Recording the language for future generations
We record your histories and events for archival purposes.
We also transcribe recordings to make your archive searchable. Key family members and events are identified and marked by timecode in the recordings and transcript.
Recording the language or an event to DV, MP4, CD, MP3 for future reference has been personal for me over the years. My own quest for fluency in Te Reo Maori has seen recordings made of my old people and their dialects for our family archive. This has led to recordings made for other Iwi and agencies who are looking to safeguard their knowledge base for future generations.
